Just as in 2008 (Prague) and 2009 (Parma) there will be another diary this year with all the activities of Iber Lengua Terrasvogels during a tournament for an European Cup.
In 2008, the team participated in Czech capital Prague for the European Cup, in 2009, the Cyp Winners Cup was won in the Italian city of Parma.
The previous two diaries were written in Englisch only, but this years diary is in both Dutch as well as English.
Sunday, August 15
Iber Lengua Terrasvogels opened the event on Sunday-evening with a marathon-game of almost 3 1/2 hours vs. Moskovia Marino, which was won in the thirteenth inning with a 6-5 score.

Monday, August 16
On the second day of the Cup Winners Cup Tournament, Iber Lengua Terrasvogels recorded a simple 13-0 victory against Mladost Scorpions from Croatia.
By scoring six runs in the first inning, Terrasvogels accomplished a solid base for the big victory.

Tuesday, August 17
On the third day of the Cup Winners Cup tournament in Haarlem, the team of Iber Lengua Terrasvogels spent the afternoon playing midget-golf.
In the evening, the one-sided game followed against Hoboken Pioneers from Belgium, which was won 18-0.
In this game, Terrasvogels scored 15 runs in the third inning.

Wednesday, August 18
With an 8-0 victory vs. Viladecans from Spain, Iber Lengua Terrasvogels closed the preliminary round of the Cup Winners Cup Tournament tonight in Haarlem.
Because of the win, the team remained unbeaten and became pool-winner.

Thursday, August 18
Today, Iber Lengua Terrasvogels played two very strong games.
In the morning, the final round was opened with an 1-0 win in a crucial game against Fiorini Forlì from Italy.
In the evening, Terrasvogels met Sparks Haarlem in a game that would decide first place in the final round.
Terrasvogels won 3-0 and therefore got the home advantage in the semi-final on Friday-evening.

Friday, August 20
Iber Lengua Terrasvogels started today with a 5-0 win vs. SaBaT Praha from the Czech Republic, meaning the final round also was won unbeaten.
In the evening, the team was beaten 6-01 in the semi-final vs. Sparks Haarlem, which therefore qualified directly for the final, while Terrasvogels now has to play an additional game.

Saturday, August 21
Iber Lengua Terrasvogels on Saturday-afternoon lost 2-0 in eight innings in the bronze medal-game against the Italian squad of Fiorini Forlì, resulting in the dethroning as winner of last years Cup Winners Cup.
With this Terrasvogels also was eliminated for the final and had to settle for bronze.
But as both the European Cup (Tex Town Tigers) and Cup Winners Cup (Sparks Haarlem) were won by a Dutch club, Terrasvogels secured itself again of participating in an European Cup-event for the 2011 season.
